Welcome to School of Civil Engineering
About the Department :
Civil engineering is one of the broadest and oldest of all engineering disciplines, extending across multi – technological ecosystem. The department of civil engineering at Siddhartha Institute of Technology & Sciences (UGC-Autonomous), Narapally, Medchal-Malkajgiri (Dist.), Telangana was established in the year 2008 . The department offers an undergraduate programme (B.Tech) in civil engineering with intake 30 and postgraduate programme (M.Tech)in structural engineering with 24 intake.
We strive to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by using power of engineering principles, techniques and systems. To that end, considerable initiatives have been taken to establish good laboratories in the areas of structural engineering, concrete technology, geotechnical engineering, water resource engineering, environmental engineering, transportation engineering with required hardware and simulation software’s.
Here, the students are provided with greater exposure in the core areas of Civil Engineering as compared to the students admitted in a similar program at other institutes of the state. The students are also encouraged to participate in the technical activities apart from the regular curriculum.
Civil engineering is a dynamic and exciting area that provides excellent career opportunities in various areas of private and government. The department faculties are committed to teach our students the fundamental concepts and the latest trends via smart teaching and learning process. The students are also taught with field visits as they accommodate their future with confidence. In addition to classroom teaching, the students are guided and motivated to practically implement the principles learnt in classrooms through experimentations in the laboratories .
